Missions In Action, an ongoing series of webisodes sharing real stories of hope and change shot on location around the world, recently launched at www.missionsinaction.tv.
The interactive series is hosted by The Amazing Race 2 winner Alex Boylan and produced by award-winning Around The World Productions, creators of the popular CBS online series, Around The World For Free.

Sponsored by Compassion International, World Vision, ChildFund and Mocha Club, each Missions In Action episode finds Boylan traveling to a different location around the globe to spotlight people in life-threatening need; those who are bringing life-giving hope; and ways that viewers themselves can make an immediate impact. Recent episodes have included Boylan visiting a textile factory in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where human trafficking and prostitution victims weave scarves; a farm in Chongwe, Zambia, where a goat is providing the means of survival for a single-parent family; and Iloilo City, Philippines, home to a young girl raised in a cemetery who is finding a new destiny as an Olympic athlete. Other locations spotlighted include Nagpur, India; Horowpotana, Sri Lanka; and Kalemunyang Village, Kenya, among others.
“Missions In Action is a dream come true,” says Boylan. “Since I was a child, I have been fortunate to travel the globe witnessing the incredible work of missionaries. To have the chance to showcase these amazing people making a positive impact on the planet is unbelievable.”
“The best part about this show is that the audience is able to interact at the end of each episode, take action and directly help the hurting and marginalized,” Boylan continues. “There is something amazing that happens when people embrace the act of giving and I look forward to seeing the world come together through Missions In Action.”
“We are thrilled to be able to bring viewers another exciting show with a purpose,” said Burton Roberts, Missions In Action Executive Producer and co-creator, along with Boylan. “Using our television production background to bring people these powerful stories from around the world, and allowing them to respond in a direct and tangible way, is an incredible privilege.”
Missions In Action is distributed across multiple platforms including Outside Television, Doers TV, Facebook, YouTube, watchgmctv.com and by Digital Broadcasting Group (DBG). DBG distributes original programming across 2600 properties to 175 million unique consumers monthly.
